Read my spoiler-free movie review of  Missing Link (2019).

From writer / director Chris Butler, Missing Link is the story of Mr. Link and his adventures with explorer Sir Lionel Frost and adventurer Adelina Fortnight. The three of them travel the world in search of Mr Link’s relatives.

Key cast includes, Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana, Zack Galifianakis, Emma Thompson…

I’m in because of the impressive cast and the promise of something a little different to the Disney Pixar stories I often enjoy.

Timothy Olyphant, Matt Lucas, Amrita Acharia, Stephen Fry and David Walliams also star.

Missing Link Release Dates: April 12th, 2019 (US)…

SNOWDEN (2016): New Trailer From Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Shailene Woodley

When I first saw the teaser trailer for writer / director Oliver Stone’s new film about Edward Snowden, I was disappointed that it didn’t reveal a little more than the films title – Snowden and a few facts about the protagonist…

Teaser trailer

However, I watched the teaser again some weeks later and was reminded that just because I wanted more footage there and then, doesn’t necessarily mean that I should have had it. Instead of being mad at the tease, my imagination did overtime as I began to picture all sorts of dramatic scenes. Scenes with dialogue as engaging as the brilliant as screenwriter Aaron Sorkin’s words in The Social Network  Would’t that be fantastic?

Even if Snowden turns out to be nothing like The Social Network, all that really matters is that it’s good. Just as well then that the below trailer looks mighty promising.

MOTHER’S DAY (2016): New Trailer Starring Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts & Kate Hudson

If you’re familiar with Valentine’s Day (2010) and New Years Eve (2011), then you have a pretty  good idea of what you’re in for with Mother’s Day, the latest film from the director of all three movies, Garry Marshall.

Starring Kate Hudson, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Jason Sudeikis and Timothy Olyphant, the collision of intersecting stories on said holiday is what happens in Mother’s Day

Having watched both Valentine’s Day and New Years Eve, I found both movies to be somewhat adequately entertaining and a casual escape; precisely what I’m expecting with Marshall’s latest comedy / drama.

Jack Whitehall, Brit Robertson, Shay Mitchell and Aasif Mandvi also star.

Mother’s Day Release Dates: April 29th, 2016 (US); June 17th, 2016 (UK)…
