Read my spoiler-free movie review of  Avengers Infinity War (2018).

The new Avengers – Infinity War trailer is finally here and it’s oh, so thrilling.

Directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, the stars of this next outing from Marvel Studios include Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland, Brie Larson, Chris Evans, Chris Pratt and more.

I’m in to see how well this movie comes together, considering the exceptionally high number of key Marvel characters. I’m also curious since I wasn’t completely in love with Avengers – Age Of Ultron (2015).

Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen, Vin Diesel, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson also star.

Avengers – Infinity War Release Dates: April 27th, 2018 (UK); May 3rd, 2018 (US)…

NAPLES ’44 (2016): New Trailer For World War II Documentary Voiced By Benedict Cumberbatch, Adriano Giannini…

Naples '44 (2016)
Naples ’44 (2016)

Directed by Francesco Patierno, Naples ’44 is a documentary about a British Intelligence officer in Naples at the end of World War II.

Based on Norman Lewis’s acknowledged masterpiece about a war-torn city and its unforgettable humanity, Benedict Cumberbatch and Adriano Giannini lend their voices to bring Lewis’s words to life.

The visuals in this trailer have me very intrigued indeed. They’re, in parts horrific, hugely disturbing but also undeniably beautiful all at the same time.

I’m looking forward to seeing it all come together. I’m also looking forward to hearing Cumberbatch bring his vocal talent and presence to the cause.

Naples ’44 Release Dates: November 29th, 2017 (US)…

THE CURRENT WAR (2017): New Trailer From Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult, Tom Holland…

The Current War (2017), Michael Shannon
The Current War (2017), Michael Shannon

Directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, The Current War is the story of the cutthroat race between electricity titans Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse. A race to determine whose electrical system would power the modern world.

Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, Nicholas Hoult and Tom Holland star.

I find this trailer somewhat over stylised. Nevertheless, there’s just too much impressive talent involved. And I definitely don’t just mean the actors. I can’t wait to see how people battled for market share back then compared to the tech giants of today.

I wonder if The Current War will come close to replacing The imitation Game (2014) as my favourite Benedict Cumberbatch movie. I think not but I’m open to pleasant surprises.

Ekow Quartey, Tuppence Middleton and Matthew Macfadyen make up additional supporting cast.

The Current War Release Dates: January 19th, 2018 (US)…

THOR – RAGNAROK (2017): New Trailer From Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba…

Thor Ragnarok (2017), Tom Hiddleston
Thor Ragnarok (2017), Tom Hiddleston

Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba are back for the next Thor movie instalment.

Directed by Taika Waititi, in Thor – Ragnarok,  Thor, the hammer-wielding god of thunder, lightning, storms, etc., must face the Incredible Hulk in a gladiator match, and save his people from the ruthless Hela (Blanchett).

I haven’t watched any Thor Movie’s since Hemsworth’s first because Thor generally isn’t my favourite Marvel superhero. However, this undeniably cool new  trailer may just have pulled me right back in.

There’s also another reason… my favourite acting queen! Cate Blanchett, of course.

Thor  – Ragnarok Release Dates: October 27th, 2017 (UK) November 3rd, 2017 (US)…

Jamie Alexander and Tessa Thompson also star.

WALK WITH ME (2017): New Trailer For Mindfulness Documentary, Narrated By Benedict Cumberbatch…

Walk With Me (2016), Thich Nhat Hanh
Walk With Me (2016), Thich Nhat Hanh

Directed by Marc Francis, Max Pugh and narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch, Walk With Me is a documentary that follows a community of Zen Buddhist monks and nuns whose lives are focused on mastering the art of mindfulness with well-known teacher Thich Nhat Hanh.

This documentary seems ideal for fans of mindfulness, and those a little curious about it, but haven’t bothered to find out more because it looks like a lot of hard work. ‘Isn’t sleep and general relaxation enough though?’, some in the latter group may or may not have wondered, probably.

According to the all knowing internet, ‘Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique’.

I’ll eventually tune into this one – if only to find out whether the beautiful bass in Benedict Cumberbatch’s voice will prove as pleasantly distracting as this trailer suggests.
