Avengers – Endgame, instalment number four of the Avengers series is here.

Key cast includes Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth.

I definitely didn’t see this trailer coming but I sure am glad it’s here.

What intrigues me most, among other things, is how Captain Marvel will fit into the mix with all the other Avengers.

Karen Gillan, Brie Larson, Bradley Cooper, Evangeline Lilly, Jon Favreau, Josh Brolin, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan and Paul Rudd also star.

Avengers – Endgame Release Dates: April 26th, 2019 (US & UK)…

CAPTAIN MARVEL (2018): Trailer 2…

Trailer 2 for Captain Marvel has landed and it has me thinking about how cool it would be to have blue blood, ‘live stronger, longer, superior and be reborn’. Basically I’d have to be Captain Marvel herself and since I can’t really do that, I’ll settle for the movie.

I don’t know if the line ‘Nobel Warrior Heroes’ is a joke, but it sounds quite a bit like a great example of ‘doing too much’. Nevertheless, I’m definitely very ready for the human and alien action sequences.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck; key cast includes Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Gemma Chan, Mckenna Grace, Annette Bening, Jude Law, Djimon Hounsou…

Directed by Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck and set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is the story of Carol Danvers. Danvers becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.

Key cast includes Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Gemma Chan and Mckenna Grace.

Once again, another well-edited trailer from Marvel Studios and featuring just the right music.

I’m in to see what I think is Marvel’s first female superhero movie. The ‘Earth caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races’ scenario is certainly very intriguing too. I wonder if I’ll still love Wonder Woman (2017) most after watching this movie.

Annette Bening, Jude Law, Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou also star.

Captain Marvel Release Dates: March 8th, 2019 (US & UK)…

21 JUMP STREET (2012): For the Fun Action & Bromance…

21 Jump Street (2012), Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum
21 Jump Street (2012), Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum

My favourite thing about directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s action/comedy 21 Jump Street is, I want to say ‘everything’ because I really had a great time watching this movie. Nevertheless, if I had to choose one thing, it’s of course the beautiful bromance between Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill’s characters. They play two underachieving cops who are sent back to high school to bring down a synthetic drug ring. It’s a good balance of comedy and action with a soft-ish centre of good old-fashioned brotherly bonding.

In addition to co-stars Ice Cube and Johnny Depp, another highlight for me was recognising a younger Brie Larson among the cast. Watch 21 Jump Street for the fun bromance. Though it’s definitely not number one on my top ten bromance movies list (because Pineapple Express (2008) rules); it is a fun and funny ‘adults back in high school’ movie experience, with a side of undercover cop action.

THE GLASS CASTLE (2017): New Trailer From Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson, Naomi Watts…

The perfectly titled The Glass Castle stars Brie Larson, Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts. Written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the story centres around a young girl’s coming of age in a poor, dysfunctional family of non-conformist nomads.

The subject matter, this trailer and the actors involved have me so interested in this film.

Stories about parent/offspring relationships, especially once the children are grown up, are always interesting to me. Also, what wonderful roles these are for all the actors involved.

Max Greenfield and Sarah Snook also star.

The Glass Castle release Dates: August 11th, 2017 (US)…
