THE KITCHEN (2019): New Trailer From Tiffany Haddish, Melissa McCarthy, Elisabeth Moss, Domhnall Gleeson…

The Kitchen (2019), Tiffany Haddish, Elisabeth Moss, Melissa McCarthy, Warner Bros. Pictures

Tiffany Haddish, Elisabeth Moss, Melissa MacCarthy and Domhnall Gleeson are the stars of new crime/drama The Kitchen.

Directed by Andrea Berloff, it’s the story of the wives of New York gangsters in Hell’s Kitchen in the 1970s, as they continue to operate their imprisoned husbands’ rackets.

I’m in for the Widows (2018) vibes. I’ll of course be comparing the two movies. Which will I like more? I look forward to finding out.

Common, Margo Martindale, James Badge Dale, Jeremy Bobb, Bill Camp and Brian d’Arcy James also star.

The Kitchen Release Dates: August 9th, 2019 (US); September 20th, 2019 (UK)…

US (2019): New Trailer From Lupita N’Yongo, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Elisabeth Moss, Anna Diop…

From writer/director Jordan Peele, the new horror/thriller Us is a story of uninvited visitors who bring tension and chaos to a family vacationing at a beach house.

Key cast includes Lupita N’Yongo, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Elisabeth Moss and Anna Diop.

I’m in for the intriguing premise. I particularly can’t wait to see the actors playing two characters each.

All because of how much I enjoyed Get Out (2017), just reading the words ‘tension’ and ‘chaos’ have me excited about the journey Peele has in store for his audience.

Kara Hayward, Winston Duke, Shahadi Wright Joseph and Noelle Sheldon also star.

Us Release Dates: March 15th, 2019 (US & UK)…

The Old Man & The Gun is the true story of Forrest Tucker and his unprecedented string of heists that confounded authorities and enchanted the public.

Directed by David Lowery; Robert Redford, Sissy Spacek, Elisabeth Moss and John David Washington are among the key cast.

Redford’s character looks so adorable, charming and fun.

Just how different this film will be to other bank robber stories, that is my question and I’m looking forward to finding out.

THE SEAGULL (2018): New Trailer From Saoirse Ronan, Anette Bening, Elisabeth Moss, Corey Stoll…

The seagull (2018), Saoirse Ronan
The seagull (2018), Saoirse Ronan

Based on Russian Playwright Anton Chekov’s famous play, The Seagull, Saoirse Ronan, Anette Bening, Elisabeth Moss and Corey Stoll star while Michael Mayer directs.

The Seagull tells the story of ageing actress Irina who visits her brother Pjotr and her son Konstantin on a country estate and brings Trigorin, a successful novelist, with her. What follows is the chaos of romantic and artistic conflicts between four characters.

All I knew about The Seagull until now is that it’s a famous play by Anton Chekov, one that many great actors have been delighted about having a part in. Knowing that as I do, I find myself a little underwhelmed after seeing this trailer. I was perhaps expecting greater dramatics. Maybe the finished product will provide what I imagine to be missing.

Billy Howle, Michael Zegen and Jon Tenney also star.

The Seagull Release Dates: May 11th, 2018 (US)…

THE SQUARE (2017): New Trailer From Elisabeth Moss, Claes Bang, Dominic West…

The Square (2017), Elisabeth Moss
The Square (2017), Elisabeth Moss

Written/directed by Ruben Östlund, The Square is a satirical drama about the sense of community, moral courage, and the affluent person’s need for egocentricity in an increasingly uncertain world.

Interesting synopsis, I must say. The square seems to have a similar quality to The One I Love (2014), an Elisabeth Moss movie I like. It’s perhaps the slightly crazed energy both films seem to share that had me linking the two.

The Square Release Dates: March 16th, 2018 (UK)…
