New comedy Fackham Hall stars Damian Lewis, Katherine Waterston, Jimmy Carr and Tom Felton.

Directed by Jim O’Hanlon, the focus is on the wealthy Davenport family in 1931, as they deal with the wedding of their eldest daughter to an ungentlemanly cousin.

I’m a bit sad that Lewis’s character doesn’t stay alive for very long, since he’s such a wonderful actor who’s great in everything.

Outside of wanting more Lewis, my general reaction to this trailer is, ‘Hello, giggles. I’m ready.

How is it looking for you?

Emma Laird, Lee Boardman, Tom Goodman-Hill, Ben Radcliffe, Lily Knight, Adam Woodward, Charlie Rawes, Nathan Hall, Erin Austen and Laurie Ogden also star.

Fackham Hall Release Dates: December 5th, 2025 (US)…

LAST NIGHT IN SOHO (2021): New Trailer From Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin McKenzie, Jessie Mei Li…

Last Night in Soho (2021), Anya Taylor-Joy, Focus Features

Directed by Edgar Wright of Baby Driver (2017); Last Night in Soho is a new drama/horror/mystery that stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin McKenzie and Jessie Mei Li. It’s the story of a young girl (McKenzie), passionate about fashion design, who finds herself mysteriously able to enter the 1960s.

While there, she encounters her idol, a dazzling wannabe singer (Taylor-Joy). Only 1960s London isn’t quite what it seems.

The part-horror categorisation makes me nervous but I remain curious. Who knew that Taylor-Joy had such a beautiful singing voice? No t me.

Here’s to hoping that there are more pleasant surprises to look forward to.

Diana Rigg, Matt Smith, Rita Tushingham, Terence Stamp, Margaret Nolan, Lisa McGrillis, James Phelps, Synnove Karlsen, Oliver Phelps, Katrina Vasilieva, Michael Jibson and Kassius Nelson also star.

Last Night in Soho Release Dates: October 22nd, 2021 (US); October 29th, 2021 (UK)…

M. Night Shyamalan has a new thriller called Old, and it stars Rufus Sewell, Gael García Bernal, Alex Wolff and Thomasin McKenzie.

Getting older is scary enough. But for the process to be rushed by what looks like a decade within a day, that sounds super scary. I really hope this turns out great.

Embeth Davidtz, Eliza Scanlen, Abbey Lee, Alex Wolff, Ken Leung, Vicky Krieps, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Emun Elliott, Kathleen Chalfant, Matthew Shear, Alexa Swinton and Aaron Pierre also star.

In Leave No Trace,  a small mistake derails the lives of a father and his 13-year-old daughter, both of whom are living in a paradisiacal existence in a vast urban park in Portland, Oregon.

Co-written and directed by Debra Granik; Leave No Trace stars  Ben Foster, Thomasin McKenzie and Jeff Kober.

I like a good father daughter story. I’m also curious about the nature of ‘the small mistake’.

Lastly, there’s the promise of many shots of the vast urban park in Portland, Oregon.

Dana Millican, Ayanna Berkshire, and Isaiah Stone aalso star.

Leave No Trace Release Dates: June 29th, 2018 (UK & US)…
