From David Yates (director of several Harry Potter films and the last Fantastic Beasts movie – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), Eddie Redmayne is back for Fantastic Beasts 2 – The Crimes of Grindenwald.

Redmayne is joined by Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Johnny Depp, Katherine Waterston, Colin Farell and others for more ‘wandtastic’ adventures as Newt Scamander.

The stunning visuals, including costume design, are why I’m in. I also can’t wait to see what Johny Depp’s character gets up to.

I have a feeling that this film is going to be a constant reminder of the reason why movies are my absolute favourite. They are, when done wonderfully, a true, perfect amalgamation of all the arts.

Fantastic Beasts 2 – The Crimes Of Grindenwald Release Dates: November 16th, 2018 (US & UK)…

THE GRINCH (2018): New Trailer Starring Benedict Cumberbatch…

The Grinch stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the grumpy Christmas-hating so-and-so, who plans to ruin Christmas for all residents of the village of Whoville.

Directed by Yarrow Cheney and Scott Mosier, this looks like a remake of How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), which starred Jim Carey.

I’ll tune in for comparison purposes. I want to find out how The Grinch will fair against How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Another reason to watch is the appeal of ‘grumpy but cute.’ The Grinch is certainly grumpy. He’s also undoubtedly cute and beautifully green. The final reason to watch would of course be, the bass in Cumberbatch’s voice. Clearly.

The Grinch Release Dates: November 9th, 2018 (US & UK)…

MARY POPPINS RETURNS (2018): New Trailer From Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Lin-Manuel Miranda…

Director Rob Marshall, Mary Poppins Returns is set in 1930s Depression-era London.

In this follow-up to the 1964 family movie, both Jane and Michael Banks have grown up, and Michael has three children. After the family suffer a terrible loss, Mary Poppins turns up to show them the joy and wonder that’s been missing from their lives.

Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Emily Mortimer star.

For a moment I thought this teaser trailer wasn’t going to show Blunt as Poppins at all. I’m looking forward to seeing what she does with the role. Her accent sounds a little unlike what I expected but it’s early days yet.

So far, I’m loving the coats in this trailer, especially that green beauty at 1:04!

Mary Poppins Returns Release Dates: December 21st, 2018 (UK); December 25th, 2018 (US)…

THE NUTCRACKER & THE FOUR REALMS (2018): New Trailer From Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman, Mackenzie Foy…

The Nutcracker And The Four Realms tells the story of a young girl who is transported into a magical world of gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice.

Directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston; Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman and Mackenzie Foy are among the key cast.

I couldn’t help but think of Alice in Wonderland as this trailer played. I’ve also just realised that I don’t think my childhood featured a moment when I learnt about The Nutcracker story. In which case, I look forward to being surprised by it. It could also be that my memory is just that bad.

Lastly, I think I may want that purple dress!

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms release Dates: October 26th, 2018 (uk); November 2nd, 2018 (US)…

SMALLFOOT (2018): New Trailer From Channing Tatum, Zendaya, Danny DeVito…

In Smallfoot, Channing Tatum plays Migo, a Yeti convinced that the elusive creatures known as ‘humans’ actually do exist.

Zendaya and Danny DeVito also star while Karey Kirkpatrick and Jason Reisig cowrite and direct.

As I watched this trailer, a few things went through my mind. Firstly, what a brilliant idea! I totally didn’t see the twist coming. Second, how nice for Tatum, finally a movie he’s made that his young daughter can watch all the way through.

Last but not least, of course, Tatum’s character had to have great dance moves.

I’m looking forward to this one, and I’ll be careful not to watch any more Smallfoot trailers because I just really want to be surprised and delighted on viewing day.

Additional cast includes Jimmy Tatro, Yara Shahidi, Gina Rodriguez, James Corden, LeBron James and Common.

Smallfoot Release Dates: September 28th, 2018 (US); October 5th, 2018 (UK)…
