In new crime/thriller Spinning Man, a young woman is found murdered and the prime suspect is a ‘happily married’ professor with a reputation.
Directed by Simon Kaijser, the key characters are played by Guy Pearce, Odeya Rush, Minnie Driver and Pierce Brosnan.
Pearce always plays interesting characters; that’s the reason I’ll be watching this hopefully satisfying thriller.
Sterling Beaumon, Alexandra Shipp, Sean Blakemore, Clark Gregg and Jamie Kennedy also star.

Starring Guy Pearce, Kylie Minogue, Julian McMahon and Radha Mitchell, Swinging Safari is about a teenager coming of age in a small Australian town during the 1970s, when a 200-ton blue whale gets washed up on a local beach.
Directed by Stephan Elliot the movie also stars Jack Thompson and Asher Keddie.
Even if all I end up watching of this movie is this trailer, I won’t mind too much because this is two minutes of very entertaining Australian ‘madness’.
Besides the promising humour, I’m most looking forward to seeing popstar Kylie Minogue in actor mode.

Michael Fassbender, James Franco and Carmen Ejogo’s Ridley Scott directed new movie, Alien – Covenant has an an excellently scary new trailer.
I remember being absolutely terrified after watching the original Alien (1979) movie.
Maybe, just maybe I’ll be brave for this. Either that or this trailer is as far as my ‘peaceful sleep loving’ behind is going to get. Who knows, 2017 still could be a year in which I surprise myself in terms of the movies I end up watching.
Alien – Covenant is the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with Prometheus (2012), and is linked to the original Alien movie.

Brimstone is the latest western/thriller from director Martin Koolhoven. Starring Kit Harrington, Guy Pearce, Dakota Fanning and Carice van Houten, it is a story about Liz (Fanning), a young woman who wants a better life for her and her daughter. Sadly they are being hunted by a vengeful preacher (Pearce).
Pearce in a ‘bad guy’ role reminds me of his great work in Lawless (2012). My, oh my did I hate his character in that film; so good were his acting skills. I hope this movie is also great.

Directed by Drake Doremas; I know that love makes fools of us all but what kind of madness must have taken place for love to become outlawed? This is why I have to watch, also because of Ridley Scott’s involvement.
