THE MOSQUITO BOWL (2026): New Trailer Starring Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Peter Berg, Ray Nicholson…

Directed and co-written by Peter Berg, The Mosquito Bowl is the latest biographical/drama/sport film about four star college footballers who join the Marines following Pearl Harbor.

Starring Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Peter Berg and Ray Nicholson, the young men take part in a historic football game before going on to face the Battle of Okinawa.

I’m not the most avid watcher of war films, but the heartbreak and tragedy in this one have my attention, particularly the stories of all the young people whose lives were greatly altered because war called.

I’m interested in how this story captures the emotional turmoil. There are also the inevitable comparisons to The Hurt Locker (still my favourite war film).

Very likely not an easy watch, but does the story have you curious?

Stacy Clausen, Pat McAfee, Dominic Bogart, Ella Newton, Brodie Henson, Steven McCormack, Jacob Hohua, Asabi Goodman, Olga Petsa, Taki Abe and Helmer Mosquera also star.

The Mosquito Bowl Release Dates: November 25th, 2026 (US & UK)….

Directed by Travis Knight and with additional key cast that includes Morena Baccarin, Idris Elba, and Jared Leto, He-Man is the young man on Earth whose destiny involves a magic sword and a return home to protect his planet.

It’s looking better. Even more so now I’ve been enlightened to the fact that this is a movie based on a toy, and therefore is inherently silly.

Hopefully, this new trailer edit has true fans feeling more optimistic. As for me, I have no strong emotions. But I do want this to be good.

Are you feeling better after this new trailer?

Alison Brie, Kristen Wiig, James Purefoy, Kojo Attah, Stephen Adentan, Charlotte Riley, Camila Mendes, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Christian Vunipola and Sasheer Zamata also star.

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE (2026): New Trailer Starring Nicholas Galitzine, Morena Baccarin, Idris Elba, Jared Leto…

Starring Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, Masters of the Universe is the story of a young man on Earth who discovers he’s the prince of an alien planet. His destiny now involves a magic sword and a return home to protect his kingdom.

Directed by Travis Knight, Masters of the Universe, an action/adventure/fantasy film, has Morena Baccarin, Idris Elba and Jared Leto as additional key cast.

I’d forgotten most of the details of He-Man’s story until reading the synopsis above. Curiosity is once again my main reason for wanting to see this, mostly curiosity about Galitzine’s performance, and partly because I wouldn’t mind a refresher on He-Man lore.

I’ll admit, I laughed when I heard the words ‘I have the power!‘ And both rightly and wrongly, seeing Galitzine in full He-Man attire immediately brought to mind Arnold Schwarzenegger as Conan the Barbarian (1982), and Dolph Lundgren in Masters of the Universe (1987).

How are you feeling about this trailer?

Kojo Attah, Stephen Adentan, Alison Brie, Kristen Wiig, James Purefoy, Charlotte Riley, Camila Mendes, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Christian Vunipola and Sasheer Zamata also star.

In new comedy/mystery, The Sheep Detectives, A shepherd who reads a murder mystery aloud to his flock of sheep every night is found dead. And it’s up to his flock to find out what happened.

Directed by Kyle Balda, Emma Thompson, Hugh Jackman, Regina Hall and Nicholas Galitzine are among the key cast.

I love the surprise turn this trailer takes. I’m in for the silliness and cute talking detective sheep. My only wish right now is that Hugh Jackman had more screen time.

Bryan Cranston, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Molly Gordon, Patrick Stewart, Rhys Darby, Nicholas Braun, Chris O’Dowd, Hong Chau, Conleth Hill and Tosin Cole also star.

Fantasy/romance 100 Nights of Hero is the latest from Maika Monroe, Amir El-Masry, Nicholas Galitzine and Emma Corrin.

Directed and co-written by Julia Jackman, Galitzine plays a charming house guest at a remote castle. One whose arrival throws off the delicate dynamic between other residents, resulting in chaos.

I’m curious about the love triangle. Or is ‘a love square’ more accurate?

Fantasy isn’t usually my favourite film category. But fantasy/romance, that’s something I can make time for. How could I not after hearing the words ‘You deserve so much better,’ delivered so perfectly and thoughtfully, especially considering what the trailer has shown?

Has this love triangle/square piqued your interest, too? Do you want to know if he’ll actually get the castle?

Safia Oakley-Green, Richard E. Grant, Josh Cowdery, Christopher Fairbank Christopher Fairbank and Jordan Wallace also star.

100 Nights of Hero Release Dates: December 5th, 2025 (US)…
